The Con

What’s “The Con” you might ask?

Well, it has nothing to do with a con-man or deception of any kind.

I’m referring to InfusionCon. To me, it is “the” con. “The” conference that every small business owner should be at – every single year.

InfusionCon is becoming a mecca of the brightest small business marketing minds of the world. This year there will be over 1500 attendees. The event is completely sold out. In fact, it’s oversold by quite a bit. We’re going to be packed in like sardines.

Why has it become “the con”?

It has to do with momentum and attraction and how momentum attracts. Entrepreneurs using Infusionsoft have excelled in recent years. Infusionsoft has clearly become a differentiator, allowing them to grow faster than their competitors. Infusionsoft has grown a TON in the last 18 months and is just picking up steam.

There is a LOT of momentum in the Infusionsoft world. And that momentum is attracting the interest of many, many people.

But it wasn’t always that way. Some may remember that “the con” was a somewhat somber event for those of us who worked at Infusionsoft 2 years ago. Just days before the event we laid off 15% of our employees. Infusionsoft (including family members and close friends). It was rough. Really rough.

At the time Infusionsoft was burning $1MM a month. We were in a tough situation. But today Infusionsoft is thriving.

What got us through?

The Core.

Infusionsoft’s core is solid. The core is made up of core values and a clear purpose. Those things have become trite in the business world. Business graveyards are filled with wood and brass placards engraved with mission statements and values. But Infusionsoft is different. The core actually means something.

Every employee, customer, and partner can identify with it. It rallies the troops when they’re down. Its the driving force pulling the whole engine forward.

The core is bigger than any one person. And it’s momentum is now massive. It cannot be stopped.

The lesson to learn here is to focus on the core of your business. In the beginning it’s hard. People don’t want to hear it. It seems irrelevant when you’re just trying to get by.

But if you can push it hard enough, long enough, the core will become a reality. And that is when the magic happens.

So, meet me at “the con” to experience the magic. It’s contagious. It’s captivating. It’s motivating. And it’s dang fun.

See you at “the con”.

Tyler

  4. Sorry Tyler, due to schedule conflicts and the impending deadlines for my clients and their taxes I will not be able to join you, Brad, Clate and all the others at the event. Hope to work with you in the near future though as I have created my funnel via your direction and now I need to implement it.
