I’ll admit that I’ve sometimes become frustrated with the limitations of our software. Don’t get me wrong — I absolutely love the application and I firmly believe its the most powerful tool for small businesses available, but it’s not perfect [yet]. With a little creative thinking and determination, anything can be done.
Like you, I get frustrated when I can’t do exactly what I want to do. Rightfully so, we use our own application for our marketing and push it to the max. I always push the limits to market better or extract more data out of our current marketing.
Our software completely amazes to me; every time I’ve become frustrated, an innovative solution soon appears. I love it!
No, not a new feature, not any new changes…
I realize that the functionality to do what I want to do is already built into the application. All I needed to do was think a little further as to how to collect and manipulate the information.
Here are some examples of things that I wanted to do, thought were impossible, and then realized that they CAN be done:
- Lead scoring
- Trackable links on images in HTML e-mail
- Website traffic tracking into the contact record
- Automatically and dynamically capturing lead sources on all leads
- Capturing keyword search data into contact records automatically
- “Customizing” the shopping cart functionality and verbiage
- And so much more, which I can’t even list here…
All I’m trying to say is that our developers have created a very flexible system that can be used to do amazing, unthinkable things. When you run into a wall, don’t stop. Never assume it can’t be done. In my experience, nothing is impossible with Infusionsoft.
